TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO ASSOCIATION OF GEORGIA WILL HOST A GALA TO
CELEBRATE THE REPUBLIC OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO’S 46TH ANNIVERSARY
OF INDEPENDENCE FROM GREAT BRITAIN
ATLANTA, GA, JULY 01, 2008: On August 31 2008, the Republic of
Trinidad and Tobago will celebrate its 46th year of independence
from Great Britain. In recognition of this milestone, the Trinidad
and Tobago Association of Georgia (TnTGA) will host a Gala event
on Friday, August 22 2008, at the Hilton Atlanta Airport, from
7:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m..
This year’s Trinidad and Tobago Independence Day Celebration
will be held under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Gerard
Greene, Consul General of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago,
with keynote speaker, Ms Erica Williams Connell, daughter of the
Republic’s first Prime Minister, the Honourable Eric E.
Williams, deceased. An exciting formal evening is planned and
includes dinner and dancing. Tickets for the event may be purchased
from members of the Executive at $55 per person, $100 per couple,

The Trinidad and Tobago Association of Georgia is a non-profit
community service organization dedicated to fostering, promoting,
and advancing the general well-being of persons in Georgia with
origins, heritage, family ties, or a special interest in the Republic
of Trinidad and Tobago. We accomplish this mission through the
implementation of creative and dynamic activities and programs
that are directed toward the cultural, educational, economic,
political, and social empowerment of the community. Our actions
