DJ
Little Fever
Location: Toronto,
Ontario, Canada
Music: Everything
Like all prodigal geeks, DJ Little
Fever transitioned into his niche
of the music scene right out of the
developmental swamp of high school
- to find his place in the developmental
swamp of commercial industry.
Armed
with a large and diverse music library
and equally diverse musical appreciation,
Little Fever taught himself how
to DJ and started his career spinning
at local, notable watering holes
in North Bay. Continuing to spin
through college, his skills grew
with his educational and technical
stints. As he graduated from Canadore
College (TV Broadcasting, and Communications)
and Mohawk College (Radio Broadcasting),
the market range of his DJ'ing experience
expanded from the "what am-I-doing-here?"
northern string of dives to the
more competetive "what-am-I-doing
here?" string of hives in the
Southern Ontario markets.
His
love of the craft of production
skills grew in lockstep with his
love of DJ'ing, taking him from
Zoo & Wylders in the north to
some of the industry benchmarks
of the south; Arizonas, Stella's,
Hard Rock Club, and Dragon Fly to
name a few. From the (literal) blood,
sweat, and tears of the most obscure
clubs, to the same (yet somewhat
less health-hazardous) blood, sweat,
and tears of upmarket gigs, DJ Little
Fever met every diverse group as
a chance to expand his horizons
and skills.
DJ
Little Fever launched his commercial
Radio Career on the most apropriate
of calender days - April Fools of
2004 - at 91.7 Sprit FM. His professional
career in radio has strengthened
his resolve through buyouts, format
flips, and economy-related layoffs.
His flexibility and range of skills
has seen him readily change duties
- and display his value to his employers
- as he took on mantles ranging
from Production Manager, Creative
Writer, Talk Show Producer, Production
Assistant, On Air Host, and Podcast
Producer.
Aside
from his ongoing DJ gigs, you can
also hear DJ Little Fever live every
Sunday from 1pm to 2pm EDT, he DJ's,
programs, and produces "The
FiXX" – a genre spanning
show revealing influences of pop,
rock, hip hop, Old school, House,
Top 40, and more. Although you never
know what you’ll hear each
week on the Fixx, you'll hear the
continued thread of DJ Little Fever's
passion for originality, accessability,
and his audiences in his work.
