Three guys with a dream is how it all started. Three guys giving life to this dream is what turned us into Legacy Soundcrew; the hottest soundcrew in Canada. To think that Legacy conquered the music scene over night would be a stretch of the imagination. Rather it took years of practice, years of dedication and years of failing (falling flat?) before we could succeed. Where smaller doors closed, bigger doors opened to lead us into a world where we now top the music scene in Canada. Legacy sound started with four but now must continue with only three members, because through tragic events, we lost our very own Omar McLeod aka MC Q. Chris McKenzie aka Crazy Criss, Rory Grant aka Dj Rory and Ajay Saxena aka Dj Charlie Brown make up this soundcrew known as Legacy specializing in hip hop, r & b, old school and reggae. The voice you hear is Crazy Criss. The reggae that moves you is courtesy of Dj Rory and the hip-hop, r & b and old school vibe is brought to you by Dj Charlie Brown.

From four members, legacy unfortunately turned into three but through tragedy, we’ve triumphed and are still going strong from Toronto, Canada all the way to BET. Legacy claims to be the best because we’ve played alongside the best and all in a matter of four short but demanding years. Legacy has played alongside one of Jamaica/New York’s #1 Reggae dj’s Tony Matterhorn and one of New York’s Top Dj’s DJ S+S. Slim from 112 hosted for Legacy Soundcrew while we were playing in May of 2006. Big Tigger was one of the MC’s who hosted for Legacy Sound for the big Caribbana Festival After party @ the DREAM LOUNGE in Toronto during August of 2006. Wingo of Jagged Edge was present @ a LEGACY party during the Caribbana festival weekend 2006. Different faces at different places but all had one thing in common- Legacy. At times, the venues may have been small in size but the success of each show has been massive. Most recently, Legacy had an anniversary party that had to turn away hundreds of people because the turnout was huge.

Legacy Sound is a staple of Toronto but we’re making our mark on other cities around the globe. Legacy Sound has played in many different cities such as Ottawa, Windsor, London, Chatham, and most recently Montreal with future plans of making more appearances in these and other cities. With the many acts that exist and the gimmicks on TV, Legacy Sound is the one thing that is indeed the real thing because with school work and part time jobs, Crazy Criss, Dj Rory and Dj Charlie Brown still manage to play from the heart in such a way that they leave fans all over Canada wanting more resulting in sold out shows and crazy line ups at the door. Although Legacy has been in the business for four years officially, we’ve definitely made an impact because when you think of good music you think of Legacy Sound. When you remember a good show, you remember one that Legacy has hosted.

When you think of where to find good music, you look for Legacy. Legacy sound and good music go hand in hand. The lineup of shows to play at, the list of requests to play for, the mass crowd that turns up, sold out shows, an A list appearance of celebrity guests and the demand for more not only solidifies Legacy’s spot as the best in Toronto but shows the impact Legacy has made in the past four years and more than secures our claim to be number 1.
